Structuring the Evening You may find that the first time you try a "Cooking with Friends" dinner party you may want to follow the original plan.
1. Plan a dinner party for six people by choosing one of the complete menus in the tab above. 2. Go shopping with the shopping list provided. The shopping list is for the three recipes that are included; be sure to read the recipes to see what you already have on hand. You will wantto include drinks, appetizers, and bread on your shopping list and possibly add an additional item, such as rice or sliced fruit. 3. Before the guests arrive, set up three cooking stations in the kitchen with the utensils and ingredients listed for each recipe. Print two copies of each recipe. 4. When the guests arrive, sit down with them and provide a favorite beverage and appetizer. 5. A “Cook #1” and a “Cook #2” will be assigned to each recipe, and given a copy of the recipe with their assignment. 6. Now the fun starts! We’ve found the teams get rather competitive, claiming that they have the best part of the meal.
Though this plan has worked many times and resulted in wonderful evenings. Remember this is your party and you can do it your way!
